Manila - Local volleyball fans will have something new to look forward to when the Philippine Super Liga opens on July 7 at the Philsports Arena.
The Philippine Super Liga is the first commercial women’s volleyball league that features former varsity athletes of different colleges and universities.
Tagged as the next level of competition for volleyball players after UAAP, NCAA and V-League, the tournament will have six teams in its initial run. The rosters of the squads will be filled in through a drafting process.
The two-week tournament will follow a single-round robin format for the eliminations before heading into the playoffs.
The games of the Philippine Super Liga will be broadcasted on cable channel Solar Sports.
